What he is saying is now it is not about works or how closely to a “T” you follow the law. But that it is through God’s gift of grace through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. It is really that simple, and yet a hard step for some of us.

Since Israel was attacked in the most barbaric way on October 7th 2023, the situation there has intensified with Israel retaliating (quite rightly), and Iran and it’s proxies threatening. I think that Psalm 83 can be ascribed to what is going on in Israel today, with a view to keeping a close eye on what is happening now, and in the near future.

These groups often use manipulation, coercion, and isolation to control their followers and maintain power, leading to psychological and emotional harm. These have increased in the past century.

We are not only talking about fleeting or random bad thoughts or personal decisions about fidelity and social relationships, or drinking, drugs, pornography, gambling, or money. Those are very important, but they are just the avenues of entry into a larger spiritual world of truly universal evil that results in death.
